Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta

US, January 28, 2010 - DICE made the week a lot more enjoyable today with the release of the demo for its upcoming multiplayer shooter, Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The latest installment in the series, known for its mix of infantry and vehicle action and large sandbox environments, will be released for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 2 in North America, with a European release following on March 4. But if you're like us and just can't wait, you can grab the demo right now on Fileplanet or directly from Xbox Live Marketplace.

Senior producer Patrick Bach explains:

"After the success of the PS3 beta, we're excited to provide gamers --- especially our long-supporting, rabidly passionate PC fans -- with another opportunity to get into the game before release. Our fans have been a huge part of the franchise's success and we can't wait for everyone to experience the amazing gameplay and unforgettable Battlefield moments in Battlefield: Bad Company 2."

The demo focuses on Port Valdez. Supporting 32 players on PC and 24 on the consoles, Port Valdez pits the US against Russia in a fight to control a crucial Alaskan port. As players battle through the industrial setting, they'll have the chance to make use of five land vehicles and three air vehicles including Mobile Battle Tanks, speedy Quad Bikes and Mobile Armored AA.

A demo for the PlayStation Network will be made available on February 4 in Europe and February 11 in North America.

James Camerons Avatar The Game-RELOADED

Here’s group RELOADED with the game of the ultra famous movie “Avatar”.

Can we see another proper about bad crack, dumped etc etc… Just wait…

Crackonly include cracked exe and a keygen.

Game is MULTI6: NL, EN, FR, GER, ITA, SPA

Description:
James Cameron has delivered some movies of monstrous proportions. Titanic, Aliens and The Terminator have all come to us courtesy of the Canadian filmmaker. This December sees the release of the long-awaited Avatar, a movie about an alien moon called Pandora and the battle over its riches. Cameron’s last movie, Titanic, set all sorts of box office records. That puts the expectations for Avatar at near impossible levels and naturally paves the way for a videogame adaptation. It’s a game that I had high hopes for and though it does its best to play to the movie’s strengths — featuring a lush jungle world and 3D visuals – Avatar: The Game ultimately suffers from unpolished and thin gameplay elements.

Avatar: The Game takes place on the same moon as its movie counterpart but rather than retelling Cameron’s tale, it offers a prequel story and an introduction to Pandora’s past. The reason for all of the commotion? Pandora is the only known place to harvest unobtanium, a mineral worth whatever it takes to get it. Unfortunately, Pandora has a toxic atmosphere and is the home to some hostile locals, including giant carnivorous plants and the Na’vi, an alien race that stands roughly 10 feet tall. The RDA, a military for hire, has countered with Avatars, a genetic hybrid between humans and Na’vi. And so the war begins in earnest.

New Assassin's Creed Announced, Features Multiplayer

US, January 13, 2010 - During Ubisoft's updated 2009 fiscal third quarter results this morning, it was revealed that a new episode of Assassin's Creed will be released in its fiscal 2011 year, which begins on April 2010, and will include an online multiplayer mode. Ubisoft also noted its new Ghost Recon and Driver titles will be out during the same time period.

"The 2010-11 fiscal year will see a greater number of franchise releases than fiscal year 2009-10, including Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, a new game in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series, Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands, Driver, Raving Rabbids 4 and a new episode of Assassin's Creed, which will be the first in the series to have an online multiplayer mode," the statement reads.

The update did not provide additional details on this new Assassin's Creed episode, such as a release date or if this mode is part of the two expansion downloads Ubisoft plans to roll out in early 2010 for Assassin's Creed 2.

Ubisoft also noted that Assassin's Creed II has now sold over 6 million units worldwide, and expects that number to climb to 9 million by March 2010.

IGN has contacted Ubisoft for clarification and will update this story when we hear back.

Update: Ubisoft has clarified, saying this is a new title featuring Ezio, and is not an expansion for Assassin's Creed 2. The new online multiplayer mode will be for an entirely new Assassin's Creed product. The Assassin's Creed Episodes project will pick up where Assassin's Creed 2 left off.

Modern Warfare 2 Joins The One Billion Club

US, January 13, 2010 - According to internal Activision estimates, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has now surpassed over $1 billion in sales worldwide since its launch this past November, and continues to set new industry records along the way.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has exceeded our expectations and shattered theatrical box office and video game records," said Robert Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. "There are only a handful of entertainment properties that have ever reached the $1 billion mark, which illustrates the power of the Call of Duty franchise and mass appeal of this game."

Modern Warfare 2 surpassed $500 million in sales during its first week alone, and saw over two million active players on Xbox LIVE at launch.

In November 2009, Modern Warfare 2 sold over six million units in the U.S., according to NPD data, selling more than double than any other title for the month. Industry analysts estimate Modern Warfare 2 sold an additional two million units in December. Official NPD numbers for last month are expected to be released tomorrow afternoon.

Razer And Valve Cooperate To Create PC Motion Sensing Controller

Razer announced today a co-development partnership with Sixense Entertainment to develop a revolutionary true-to-life, next-generation motion sensing and gesture recognition controller for PC gaming.

"Razer is extending its vision for PC gaming by partnering with Sixense on this exciting new endeavor," said Robert Krakoff, president, Razer USA. "The magnetic motion sensor technology combines precision and speed with the freedom of other motion sensing technologies to fill the gap between consoles and PC in terms of human interface devices."

Marking the next step in user interface technologies for gaming on the PC, Razer and Sixense scientists and engineers along with select PC OEM partners have been working on ultra-precise one-to-one motion sensing controllers that use electromagnetic fields to track precise movements along all six axes for use in current and future generation PC games. The absolute controller position is tracked to within a mere millimeter for positioning and to a single degree for orientation.

The multi-year technology partnership between the companies have been in the works at Razer's design innovation centers in San Francisco as well as in Singapore, where Razer recently announced a US $20M investment in the Razer-MDA IDM Lab for the research into next generation user interfaces for gaming.

"We are really excited to be working with Razer to bring motion gaming to the PC world. This technology collaboration will allow PC gamers to experience true-to-life gaming in a different dimension," said Avi Arad, chairman and cofounder, Sixense. "This is a strong partnership that will not only enhance the entire gaming experience, but will truly revolutionize how games are played on the PC."

Working together with Valve, Razer and Sixense will be presenting a first glance into the future of PC Gaming with Left 4 Dead 2, a co-op team based tactical FPS game that is available on the Steam network, with a technology demonstration of what is slated as the first true one-to-one motion sensing and gesture recognition platform for the PC, which adds a totally new dimension to the Left 4 Dead 2 experience. Technology demonstrations with prototype motion sensing controllers will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 4, Meeting Room #S215. Products utilizing the motion sensing technology showcased at CES will be launched later in 2010.

"With this controller, Razer and Sixense have created the most immersive way to play our games," said Chet Faliszek, team lead on Valve's recent best-seller Left 4 Dead 2. "For us and for our customers, this release represents motion-enabled gaming that's more integrated and visceral than any platform has so far achieved."

George Costanza's Frogger Score Smashed

New world record bests fictional sitcom score.
by Jim Reilly

US, January 5, 2010 - There is a new king of Frogger, and he did not need the help of Slippery Pete.

Pat Laffaye of Westport, Connecticut managed to accumulate 896,980 points on an original Frogger machine, becoming the new world record holder for the classic title. Twin Galaxies, considered the world authority in videogame statistics, verified the score.

The score breaks the fictional record set by George Costanza (Jason Alexander) in an episode from the TV sitcom Seinfeld, which saw George reach 860,630 points before his machine was run over by a truck in New York City.

"Even though it was imagined by television writers, Pat has broken one of the most famous scores in pop culture," Twin Galaxies Division Manager Patrick Scott Patterson said. "Pat's amazing score will now forever be attached to not only Twin Galaxies history, but pop culture trivia as well."

Laffaye also holds the world record for the game Paperboy.

Jason Alexander was not available for comment.
